We are proud to announce that the first two SAR15 high-speed aluminum rescue vessels, designed and built by Iskra Shipyard Šibenik, have been officially delivered to the Harbour Master offices in Pula and Split.
Commissioned by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia, these 15-meter vessels are part of a wider national fleet renewal program aimed at strengthening maritime safety and emergency response capabilities along the Croatian coast.
With top speeds of up to 36 knots, the SAR15 vessels are engineered for:
◾ Search and Rescue (SAR) operations
◾ Maritime safety inspections
◾ Emergency interventions at sea.
Key features of the SAR15:
✅ Self-righting capability
✅ Unsinkable aluminum hull
✅ Performance in extreme sea conditions
✅ Passed rigorous capsize testing
As global demand increases for robust, fast-response SAR vessels—especially among coast guards, offshore energy sectors, and port authorities—Iskra Shipyard Šibenik is proud to offer a highly specialized, internationally competitive solution.
