A new member of our family - Iskra Shipyard

It is our great pleasure to welcome a new member in our family - Iskra shipyard in Šibenik, Croatia. 

The Government of the Republic of Croatia, at its 140th Session held on January 30, 2019, issued a decision on granting consent to the transfer of a concession to a seagoing vessel of a special purpose port in Šibenik from the previous concessionary NCP Remontno Brodogradilište Šibenik to the new concessionaire Iskra Brodogradilište 1 d.o.o..

The objective of Iskra is to continue and complete all commenced tasks, which are contracted by the NCP, and further develop the shipyard and refurbishment activities, introduce new technologies, applying the best experiences of industrial management, which we have from the existing business. A plan for operational and financial restructuring will be implemented, sales activities and business will be expanded, we expect growth of activities and revenues from the base of activity, and we estimate that the number of employees will increase in the future.

As a new owner, we want to position ourselves as a long-term strategic investor and create a correct attitude towards employees, business partners, the city of Sibenik and the Republic of Croatia. We want to establish cooperation with faculties of technical training, both in the city of Sibenik and throughout Croatia, in order to employ young highly educated people and motivate them to stay in a successful home company instead of going abroad.
