Iskra Shipyard Expands Solar Energy Capacity

Iskra Shipyard continues to invest in a more sustainable and energy-efficient future by installing an additional 200 kW of solar capacity.

The new installation expands the shipyard’s existing 750 kW solar power plant, bringing its total installed solar capacity to 950 kW. This represents another important step in improving energy efficiency, reducing the environmental footprint of our operations, and supporting the transition towards cleaner energy solutions.

The investment reflects Iskra Shipyard’s long-term commitment to sustainable development and responsible shipyard operations. By increasing the use of renewable energy, we are strengthening the resilience of our energy supply while contributing to the broader green transition within the maritime and shipbuilding industries.

Our sustainability journey continues. The next phase will include the installation of battery energy storage systems, enabling more efficient use of the electricity generated by the solar power plant. This will further optimise energy consumption, increase energy independence, and support more reliable operations.

Every investment in innovation and sustainability strengthens our ability to provide dependable, high-quality services while building a more efficient and environmentally responsible shipyard for the future.
