From Slovenia to Turkey: Iskra Advancing Railway Infrastructure Across Borders

January has marked strong operational momentum for Iskra’s railway teams, with parallel project activities underway in both Slovenia and Turkey.

In Hoče and Bohova (Slovenia), on-site works continue despite winter conditions. Snow and low temperatures have not slowed progress, as our teams remain focused on delivering infrastructure upgrades that contribute to safer and more reliable railway operations.

At the same time, nearly 2,000 kilometers away, Iskra experts are commissioning wayside elements and Iskra interlocking system (spd IIrl30) at Kangal and Tecer stations in Turkey, in cooperation with our long-term partner, Turkish State Railways.

The implementation of interlocking systems plays a critical role in railway safety and operational efficiency. By ensuring secure control of train movements and signaling processes, Iskra’s solutions support modern, dependable rail transport networks designed for long-term performance.

Managing multiple projects across different countries — and under challenging winter site conditions — reflects the strength of Iskra’s engineering expertise, field coordination, and commitment to delivery excellence.

These activities represent more than individual milestones; they are part of a broader mission to modernize railway infrastructure and strengthen connectivity across regions.

As 2026 begins, Iskra continues to build forward — step by step, station by station — contributing to safer, smarter, and more reliable rail systems.
